The Winifred Knox Memorial Library is open for business. Check out the photographs from our Grand Opening on August 7, 2007.

The steel framework for the shelving has been installed. With the shelves up the interior is really beginning to look like a new library! When completed the shelves will have oak end panels and countertops for displaying materials.

The carpet is down in the new library. Additionally, the light fixtures have all been installed. Besides a few minor details interior work is almost complete. Masonry work continues on the outside with picture 3 showing the courtyard walls around the children's section of the library. Picture 4 is a close up of the detail on the exterior.

Significant interior work continues on the new library building. Bricks are quickly filling in the outside walls. Pictures 1-3 show some of the details found in the new building including built in display case, main circulation desk and a staff workroom.

Significant progress has been made since the last round of pictures. Most of the trim around the skylight is finished. Drywall and painting are finished. The ceiling grid work has been started. Pictures 1&2 are of the skylight in the library. Picture 3 shows where the adult computers will be located.

We have some new interior progress pictures of the library. Drywall is going up and the interior brick work is done. Check out the fireplace! Other exciting news to report - the Dedication and Grand Opening Celebration of the Winifred Knox Memorial Library will be Sunday August 5. Much more information will follow, but please mark your calendars.

The Winifred Knox Memorial Library now has windows. The roof membrane on the front entrance way is complete and the skylight is in. Electrical work continues on the inside.
